Based in New Haven, Connecticut, I am a freelance writer, editor, and communications consultant, working in areas including health, science, politics, law, public policy, and education.  For  a number of years, I wrote an occasional op-ed column on gender issues for the New Haven Register; now, I write blog posts here. I’ve also taught at Yale and Wesleyan and, for the past 20+ years, have been an adjunct professor in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program at the University of Connecticut in Stamford.

When not at my desk or in the classroom, I am likely to be in my garden, at the gym, wandering around taking pictures, playing with friends, or rehearsing and performing with Another Octave: Connecticut Women’s Chorus.  As a writer, educator, and activist, I see no conflict between good politics, good grammar, good works, and a good time.

I, too, have always loved this adorable, pixie photo of you, Rhea as well as your witty, PC writing. Looking forward to your blog while I travel throughout the USA this next year, visiting family and friends, and all the sights to see in the USA.
